existence (Kingsley)

If we were only human beings there would be no problem, no confusion or despair. We wouldn’t be at war with ourselves, living a gentle nightmare at the mercy of our own power. But we are not. When we grow up and build a home for ourselves, a family, a career, follow all our dreams, this is not life. This is nothing to do with what life is really about. It’s not even the beginning of life. And to say that everything we call experience is no more than a chaotic dream is not to be negative. On the contrary: it’s just the attempt to save a little time, to save a lot of suffering, to help hurry things along.

For we are the seeds of so much. Human existence is nothing but the divine life unlived. (Reality p. 340)
